Learning problems
When children have learning difficulties it is imperative that the eye sight is optimal and that spectacles are used, when indicated. There is a however no proved correlation between visual problems and learning difficulties.
The latter occur in 3 to 5% of the schoolpopulation and constitute usually a complex problem with multifactorial etiologies.
Recent studies have proved that dyslexia and the corresponding learning problems are caused by genetic biochemical and/or structural modifications of the brain.
