| Diagnosis Cataract is diagnosed after an examination with a slit-lamp or biomicroscope, which is usually done after application of eye drops to obtain dilatation of the pupil. This thorough or "super eye-examination" usually takes one hour, but it enables the surgeon to decide on the indication of cataract surgery. The treatment can be agreed on immediately afterwards. |
