The most important and most spectacular highlights are:
1. the extremely high accuracy and predictabily, ± 0.5 D in 89%.
2. the small spot size 0.7 mm and fast repetition rate 250 Hertz. This guarantees a perfect custom ablation and a perfect centration.
3. The extraordinary high safety level
4. The extremely fast recuperation of the best uncorrected acuity. Most of the patients regained already 90 to 100 % of their best visual acuity next day.
5. In many cases the uncorrected (without contact lenses or distance spectacles) visual acuity after surgery is better than the best corrected (with contact lenses or spectacles) acuity before correction.
The techniques and the nomograms for this Mel 80 Laser were fine tuned by Dr. Goes in collaboration with Carl Zeiss Meditec. |
